Bamboo/cotton linens

Bamboo yarn has been available for a few years already to handknitters. I've tried it, and found it soft and very light. Now, Garnet Hill has 70% bamboo, 30% cotton sheets in four fruity colors. I'm so happy to see this innovative, antibacterial and highly renewable fiber reaching a mass market level. I discovered bamboo is actually the fastest growing plant on earth. If you've ever had any

Not only does Garnet Hill carry bamboo bed linens, but so does mega chain Target! I was in there the other day to pick up some Method cleaning supplies and my jaw dropped when I passed the display of bamboo sheets. Garnet Hill has a nicer product (of course), but Target has the larger customer base by far. I thought it was quite interesting.
No way! Did you get to feel them? I'm going to Target in the next few days to see if they carry them here in Brooklyn. Thanks for letting me know!
I didn't like them enough to pick up a set, but now I can't remember if that was because I didn't like the texture, or just because I wasn't thrilled by the color palette.
Also, a possible lead for a Textilita entry: I'm kind of digging these fabrics, at least from my vantage point in cyberspace--haven't actually held them in my hands. I forget where I found the link. God, I hope it wasn't on the Red Lipstick blog! Anyway, I always love it when sustainable items are well designed. It's nice to be environmentally friendly without looking like the dirty hippie I am deep down inside!
